Dina Hooper

My experience in property management starts 29 years ago in San Antonio Texas. I always knew I wanted to work in the real estate field and have not left. I attended college in South Texas, Real Estate school in San Antonio and found my passion. After working in leasing and assistant manager roles for one year, I was given my first property manager opportunity and never looked back. From my start with Ambassador Apartments to my first dip into Lease-Ups with W.L.S Interests, inc. to Gross Management, TVO North America to my current home Abbey Residential, I have appreciated every minute.

I am most recently the Southwest Vice President of Abbey Residential Services, Inc for the last four years and have worked with the company a total of 14 years. My expertise lies in lease-up communities, value-add renovations, and budgeting. I am also very passionate about training and mentoring the up-and-coming leaders of my industry.

Throughout my career I have volunteered in several sectors near and dear to my heart. Personally, I was the volunteer team manager for my daughter’s volleyball and soccer leagues through elementary school, Sponsorship Chair for two years for my daughters High School Golf Team. Professionally, I have worked on handing out free meals to the homeless through Food Banks, volunteered numerous years with Apartment Angels of HAA to make sure low-income families were able to provide Christmas for their family, year over year participation in the HAA Holiday Food Drive, Crime Awareness Committee member for several years with the West Houston Chamber of Commerce, several years and Co-Chair for Apartment Elves with HAA to provide an in need waiter/waitress funds to provide Christmas to their family, and now most recently the honor to lend my time to the Grateful Americans.

I enjoy time with my two children and my fur baby Louis. I love the water and the mountains. A clear blue Ocean or visiting the mountains, those are my happy places. My goal is to be a productive human and leave the world a little better with a smile and by helping guide and mentor where I can.
