David Stone

David Stone is the President and Co-Founder of American Fire Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Fire & Life Safety systems with offices in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. With a proven track record of leadership and dedication, David has made significant contributions to his industry and community. David’s commitment to service extends beyond his professional endeavors. He is a previous attendee of Leaders at Sea and was honored to be selected for JCOC 93 (Joint Civilian Orientation Conference), though the event was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He is a former Director and active volunteer with the Danny Dietz Memorial Classic, an event held each Memorial Day weekend to support the Navy SEAL Foundation. David’s leadership also spans the construction and fire protection industries. As a Past Chairman of the Board for the Texas Construction Association, he has worked alongside trade associations and legislators to improve and advance the construction industry in Texas. He also served as Past President of the Fire Sprinkler Contractors Association of Texas, where he championed education and development in the fire protection industry. Currently, David serves as Vice President and Director, as well as a Past Chairman, for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This renowned organization, powered by over 35,000 volunteers, raises nearly $500 million in economic impact for Texas and Houston annually. This year alone, approximately $27 million was donated to junior exhibitors, scholarships, and other educational programs, underscoring the organization’s mission to support the youth of Texas. David is also deeply committed to making wishes come true as a Board Member for the Make-A-Wish Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Chapter, helping bring hope and joy to children with critical illnesses. With his wealth of experience and unwavering dedication, David exemplifies leadership, community involvement, and a passion for making a difference.
